Feelin like a true bombshell

My dirty 30's must be kickin into overdrive cuz im gettin more settled in with being 31 now n lookin forward to years to come. Funny i dont feel 30...1 i guess cuz laughin keeps me young but i cant describe the extra confidence that comes with officially bein a grown woman ;) oh so sexy!! This old man at the gas station told me he was gonna marry me and believe it or not...had i not wanted to have another child i would've took him up on that offer **sigh** Anyhoo...last week i had yet another grand experience at THE DAMN SALON for a taste of DC (i'll do another vid...thnx deb for ur comments) and before gettin my urban twist i had to say BYE, BYE, BYE **in my n'sync voice** to my curly fro :7

everyone gives me compliments on my color which is primarily only on the ends. remember i did my box color last year when my amber rose cut grew out a little. Im still stickin to NOT usin box color cuz i just dont wanna have to give my hair extra attention to keep it moisturized with color so now i just henna ONLY!! THNX MECA, that henna in the green pack was a heavenly dream to mix n apply :) Deb, i haven't forgotten about ur challenge...have u been gettin my email updates??? im still in the game! i forgot when the challenge is over but i'll be keepin my urban twist in for as long as they last but guess what....TASTE OF DAMN clearly cant get enuff of DC cuz they'll be back AGAAAAAIN in April...yaaaaay!! i love those laydeez. They've spoiled me...like no 4 real.

i did an overnight DC with some DB...oooh yall let me tell u...ok so im in the shower n im washin my hair (in sections of course) and im usin the As I Am cleansing pudding to shampoo. So i get to the front section n as im slatherin it on my section my curls bounce back in my face n got in my EYE...EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!! maaaan i felt like the chick on Kill Bill after she got her eye snatched out :(

Now here i am in the shower, fightin the shower curtains n feelin my way around for a towel...at the same time rememberin i got these dmn lashes on which at that point i aint give a dmn cuz i just wanted to rinse out this burning sensation my eyeball was goin thru...woooo sheer terror i tell u...terror!!! So after savin my eye i dc'd n went to bed. Before my appt i made sure i rinsed n did my length check (without a ruler)

My fro was nice n big after i applied my KBN leave-in n fluffed it around a bit, yet by the time i made it to the car...shrinkage had crept up on me like a drive by in compton!

As much as i love the outcome of my fro' i must admit, i cant wear it OUT as much as i'd like to becuz im more prone to gettin tangles n knots. Detangling seems to become more of a headache to handle with it gettin longer. I must admit, my honeymoon stage with my hair is looooong gone..trust me!! long hair is for the birds and less is best for me. Deb's challenge has helped me realize that PS'in is the way to go for me majority of the time. i want to set it n forget it. I wanna see how patient i can be with lettin it grow out plus i want to donate HOWEVER, please believe them shears in my closet be callin my name and im starting to think...well if i cant donate a 14' inch ponytail maybe they can make a pixie wig wit a good 6 inches of hair, lol...im just sayin **in my Tamar voice**

So i arrive for my appt and Pam n her bestie Sharnia are there from earlier....maaaaaan we were like the 3 stooges up n that thang, omg!! we was hype n crazy as hell. They rented a spot in Arlington n i know dmn well chez whitey below thought we had a party goin on around noon time. Our group had a blast cuz Ephinae n Mushiya already comedians so u add 3 more and KA-BOOM u got Def Comedy Jam to the 10th power, lol. With the urban twist, there's a part 2 to the unveiling of em. U get everything twisted up n set for a few days. I actually like the "undone" look but i'll take em down n out for the final look by Wed. They dont take as long as the city twist so depending on how these go, i might just get em again in April.

i love em already!! i kept it simple with the color, keepin it brown wit a splash of blonde in the front. i cant wait to show yall the final look-EEEK!! PS'in isnt as bad as i thought it would be. Back n my early natural days i couldnt stand to be away from curls too long, NOW shooooot i'd put my hair up quicker than a pregnant mexican crossin the border!!
